#TeamBeeStinger battled through some of the toughest weather of the ASA season to earn two podium finishes at the ASA Pro/Am in Metropolis, Illinois.
From heavy wind and rain to constantly changing conditions, Kyle Douglas and Tim Gillingham relied on Bee Stinger Premier Plus stabilizers to maintain the balance and control needed to finish on the podium.
Kyle Douglas Wins Known Pro
Kyle Douglas captured the Known Pro title with a two-day score of 448 after weather forced officials to cancel the shoot-off and determine the final standings based on scores from the course.
Friday presented its challenges, but Douglas kept himself within striking distance before making a strong comeback on Saturday.
"Never the way you want to win one, but I'll take 'em any way I can get 'em! The shootoff was cancelled due to weather and awards were based off the 2-day scores on the course.
Friday's round was rough, but I managed to keep things together enough to still be in the hunt. Saturday things stayed buttoned down a little better and I was able to make a good comeback and gain a 4-point lead. Sometimes you win it on the course and sometimes you have to make things happen in the shootoff. This weekend was literally won on the course.
It has been an awesome season so far and I'll keep my foot on the gas for the rest of it! Can't wait to see everyone at the next one!"
His ability to stay composed and execute in difficult conditions earned him another ASA victory.
Tim Gillingham Finishes Third in Senior Known Pro
Tim Gillingham added another podium finish for #TeamBeeStinger, placing third in Senior Known Pro with a score of 486.
Despite having only a few hours to put his new bow together before the event, Gillingham continued making adjustments throughout the weekend and found himself on the podium.
"Tough weekend! Had only 7 hours to put this rig together and made a few changes all weekend for the better! Still ended up 3rd but there's a lot more left in the tank!"
His determination and ability to adapt throughout the competition highlight the importance of confidence in both your setup and your equipment.
